A cross-cultural meeting in improvised movement and sound - bodies of flesh & bone, wood & metal and the breath that passes between them vibrate and tune to each other in the present moment. Canadian, dancer-vocalist Susanna Hood is pleased to share this encounter with local artists in this her first visit to Istanbul.

Biographical note
Tiohtià:ke/Montreal-based performer, maker and teacher in both dance and music, Susanna Hood has devoted her career to synthesizing voice and movement within her dynamic practice, creating intimate, sensual and raw performances both in dance-theatre contexts as well as in the context of improvised music.
Throughout her career as a creator, and particularly in the last decade, she has sought a total integration of the dance and music aspects of her practice, influenced by her internal, holistic experience of moving, sounding, and listening. Something she refers to as embodied music: the experience of movement as music and of sound/music as movement, where the two forms, in dialogue, remain simultaneously distinct and interchangeable, to create a listener/viewer experience that blurs the lines between what is heard and what is seen.

Technical needs:
Susanna - vocal microphone, cable and stand
Duygu - she will bring all her own mics and cables - the sound person will just need to connect these into the system
Ceren- 2 microphones if possible
Lighting - some simple open state that can just remain static, unless the lighting operator wants to improvise with us

Two Room Apartment, Sheinfeld & Laor'u hayattaki ortaklar ve yaratıcılar olarak ilişkilerini yansıtan bir düet için sahneye çıkarıyor. Hem kişisel hem de politik olan iş, sınırları çeşitli bağlamlarda inceler: bölgeler arası veya iki oda arasındaki gibi fiziksel sınırlar, aynı zamanda yaşam ve performans arasındaki gibi fiziksel olmayan sınırlar ve bireyin kendisi için belirlediği sınırlar. Çalışma, basit bir dans dili ve minimalist bir estetik kullanıyor ve yaşam kavramını, geleneklerin ve davranışların kesin, neredeyse zorlayıcı bir tekrarının gerçekleştiği bir çerçeve olarak araştırıyor. Çalışma, Liat Dror ve Nir Ben Gal tarafından yaratılan ve prömiyeri 1987'de Tel-Aviv'de yapılan orijinal performansa yeni ve çağdaş bir okuma öneriyor. Bağımsız İsrail koreografisinin gelişiminde bir kilometre taşı olarak kabul edilir ve aynı zamanda etkileyici uluslararası beğeni topladı: eser o zamanlar aralarında Bagnolet Koreografi Yarışması'nın da bulunduğu birçok ödül kazandı.
